-CLOSED-
Hello! Everyone I am proud to present *drumroll* my very first contest!!
So, what do I have here for my wonderful blog readers? Well, just five copies of Twenty Boy Summer... Hehe...so here's the summary for this book I am dying to read..it looks so good!!
"According to her best friend Frankie, twenty days in Zanzibar Bay is the perfect opportunity to have a summer fling, and if they meet one boy ever day, there's a pretty good chance Anna will find her first summer romance. Anna lightheartedly agrees to the game, but there's something she hasn't told Frankie---she's already had that kind of romance, and it was with Frankie's older brother, Matt, just before his tragic death one year ago.
Beautifully written and emotionally honest, this is a debut novel that explores what it truly means to love someone and what it means to grieve, and ultimately, how to make the most of every single moment this world has to offer."
Doesn't that just sound like such a good book?
So now for the rules...

YES, this book sounds great. Enter me please! I think my favorite summer memory was last summer, when my boyfriend and I spent a weekend together by the Jersey shore. It was the first time we vacationed alone together and the first time I had a beach vacation, and it was just full of relaxation. So nice!

ReplyDeleteMy best summer memory was staying with my grandparents up in Vermont when I was a kid. There was no one else around and you had to climb a winding dirt road just to get there. A great place to run around, play, eat wild blackberries and see all sorts of critters. Thanks

My best summary memory was when I was about 14, and in June I went to California for two weeks to stay with my aunt. Then in July I went on a road trip to Flordia with some friends of the family. It was awesome because I had no parents or my sister with me, and it started my love for traveling.

ReplyDeleteMy best summer memory would have to be going to the Rose Festival (A big carnival in Portland) and finally getting able to get on all the rides because I was finally tall enough! That growth spurt felt like it took forever!

My favorite summer memory - as nerdy as it sounds - was the summer I decided to remain on campus instead of going home. I got a single room up in the attic of one of the prettiest dorms on campus, and except for work for 6 hours early in the day, I was free to do whatever I wanted all day.
ReplyDeleteWhich was usually reading and watching movies and running. All my favorite things! =)

My best summer memory is the last summer I had with my grandmother before she died. We spent the entire summer baking together and watching the Food Network... she died on my first day of 8th grade.
ReplyDeleteSummer of 1998 - a good friend and I used our short holiday from grad school and drove to Florida to visit a friend who was working at Disney. After spending a week there with some great fun at Disney World, we took a week to come home and camped our way. It was so casual and so much fun and we saw some fantastic places.

I would love to read this book! Please include me too. One of my favorite summers was when my friend and I got to travel alone to California to stay at a family friend's house for 10 days. We were 15 and so excited to go to the beach. Unfortunately, these people had no children and lived in a area with mostly retired and senior citizens. We weren't even allowed in the pool without a resident. We did get to do some fun things but it wasn't what we thought it would be.

*My best summer memory has to be from this past summer, when me and my family went to the Rally Dakar. The heat was way too much, we were sweating all over. Yuck!
But, we went to the place where the Rally was passing in my uncle's lorry, an open lorry, and the road was all bumps and curves, we got all brown from the dirt -we were travelling in the bed of the lorry- and couldn't stop laughing from jumping up and down in the back of the loory, while it was dark and we couldn't see a thing, just hear our laughter!
I got really bored at the Rally -the cars and trucks passed every hour or so- but the trip was hilarious!
xo,
Ella
