"'I have to. It's time Remy and my father found some peace.'"

Summary (From B.O.B): THERE'S ALWAYS ONE BAD APPLE.
Megan has been haunted by the ghost of her twin sister, Remy, since the accident nine years ago. Megan doesn't want anyone to think she's crazy, so she keeps this little "talent" to herself. But when she meets Luke at her summer job and discovers he can see ghosts too, she's thrilled. Finally, someone who can relate...and, even better, can possibly help Remy move on. Megan's not even worried about the fact that Luke's supercute and nice, because of course she's totally into her boyfriend (even though he's been spending way too much time with another girl.) And she defidently didn't mean to kiss Luke (especially because her friend has a thing for him). Messy much?

But when the visions Remy haunts Megan with get crazy violent, Megan must turn to Luke to figure out what her twin is trying to say. Because someone's definitely in danger...she's just not sure who.

Wdebo's Review: I was never quite sure what Devoured was about when I first picked it up, so when I read the prologue and saw the Snow White reference I was quite excited, I absolutely love books that are either a) Fairy Tale retellings or b) have to do with fairy tales. I had very high hopes for it because of the fairy tale reference, so I was quite disappointed to find out that the Snow White reference doesn't come out until the end.

The writing was ok, it felt kind of trying and got boring at some parts, but it was ok. The plot line was pretty averege in the beginning, cliche, and not a very likeable main character. I really enjoyed the ending though because I was quite pleasently surprised by what happened at the end, even though I did have an idea that that would happen.

However, as stated before, I did enjoy the Snow White reference, and there was a nice fairy tale-y quality to the story.

I was not a big fan of Megan she was a very weak character and very undecisive, it was quite annoying to read about in the beginning, in the end she got better but not amazingly likeable, just, well, good. Luke seemed a little too cliche but cute.

Cafe Cover Chat: It's a good idea for the cover, I would like it a lot better, if only they changed the girl's dress, because it's not very flattering for her. (B+)

All in all, a pretty decent fairy tale-esque story for those who love stories like that, and also for those who just want to take a break and just read something.

Grade: B

Hooked on GLEE!!

Yes, it's official, I am IN LOVE with Glee :D

AHH I can't believe it has taken me so long to get into this show, I just started watching it during the end of June but now I can't stop (been watching the reruns on Thursdays + new ones on the internet...god I love the world wide web.) But seriously, Glee is just so wonderfully wonderful. Everyone's singing is so great! And, is it possible to be in love with someone's voice, because everytime Matthew Morrison (Will Schuster) opens up his mouth and sings, I melt a little inside...god his voice is just soo gorgeous!!

And while we are on the topic of Matthew Morrison, I first fell in love with him when I was listening to Hairspray, he is such an amazing Link Larkin (Zac Effron should take notes...tsk tsk), he is good looking and has such a wonderful voice. So amazing...roar!!

And another one of my fav characters is defidently Puck and I love Kent too, because he is just so adorable!!

But, yeah, so everytime I watch Glee I get all fuzzy happy...yeah for amazing singers and dramatic/hillarious storylines!!

And now, one of my favorite scenes from Glee, the Single Ladies + Football Game...I get warm fuzzies everytime I watch it, those guys have moves ~~ :3

And also Kurt doing the Single Ladies dance, because, as stated before, Kurt = AWESOMENESS!!

And Glee doing Bad Romance, their costumes!! YEAH!! I now want to make my own Lady Gaga costume :) Kurt=Wonderful voice, Tina=Great! Haha bubbles!, Finn=Funny Face in Beginning!

Are you obsessed with Glee? If so, comment below and we can obsess together :D

Never Slow Dance with a Zombie By: E. Van Lowe

Title: Never Slow Dance with a Zombie
Author: E. Van Lowe
PAPERBACK
Amount of Pages:
253
Publisher: Tor Teen
Release Date: August 18, 2009
Geared Towards: Teens/Zombie lovers
From: Library

“I speed up the corridor toward Dirk and the zombies infused with the determination to have it all: popularity, parties, winter queen, and yes…a boyfriend.”

Summary (From B.O.B):

Principal Taft’s Three Simple Rules for
Surviving a Zombie Uprising

1) While in the halls, walk slowly and wear a vacant expression on your face. Zombie won't attack other zombies.

2) Never travel alone. Move in packs. Follow the crowd. Zombies detest blatant displays of individuality.

3) If a zombie should attack, do not run. Instead, throw raw steak at him. Zombies love raw meat. The display of kindness will go a long way.

On the night of her middle school graduation, Margot Jean Johnson wrote a high school manifesto detailing her goals for what she was sure would be a most excellent high school career. She and her best friend, Sybil, would be popular and, most important, have boyfriends. Three years later, they still haven’t accomplished a thing! Then Margot and Sybil arrive at school one day to find that most of the student body has been turned into flesh-eating zombies. When kooky Principal Taft asks the girls to coexist with the zombies until the end of the semester, they realize that this is the perfect opportunity to live out their high school dreams. All they have to do is stay alive...

Wdebo’s Review: Never Slow Dance with a Zombie was a humorous book that made fun of the normal zombie stories. There were a lot of moments where I just laughed out loud. Especially when, because there is one rule that says if throwing meat wasn’t enough to just hit the zombie over the nose with a rolled up newspaper. Every time I imagine a zombie getting its nose hit then jumping back, that picture just makes me laugh so much.

Though sometimes the writing at some parts got a little boring and awkward but it wasn’t horrible, there were some parts that were very good, just others times felt a little cliché and overdone.

I liked some of the characters but I hated others. I was not a big fan of Margot; she had such an obsession about becoming popular that she would push her friends away for so long, soo annoying. Even when the whole school was zombies, all she cared about was being popular, I mean for heaven’s sake, all of those “people” are zombies, they don’t give a crap that’s popular and who isn’t, she also doesn’t like people just because they are “geeks.” But I did like Sybil, she was nice and a good friend and wasn’t all that into the whole popularity thing.

Cafe Cover Chat: I like the idea of the cover; however, I believe they diffidently chose the wrong model for it. (B)

All in all, for all those zombie book lovers out there I am sure you will enjoy it immensely, for all others, I am sure you might enjoy this light hearted book.

Grade: B+
