WTF? I'm still not done with it??!!

Ok, I'm really sorry I haven't been book blogging on my book blog lately, but I promise you I WILL AFTER AP testing *gag me*.

So, that's not what my babbling is about. It is about how I am STILL NOT FINISHED WITH SLUMDOG MILLIONARIE!!

I watched the very end becaue I had to work on a project for chinese school and then I watched from the beginning to middle at my friend's party, but I still haven't finished it yet!!

AHH!! I am not a very happy camper about it. I mean it's so GOOD!!! *Sigh*I guess that's what summers are for huh?




Anyways, now that we're on the topic of movies, I totally want to watch Let the Right One In...

Van Fan

So, this week's TTS is also the star of my MOST FAVORITE TAIWANESE MOVIE. It was just adorable heartwarming, sweet, sad, romantic, funny, amazing..etc etc ! <3>

Anywho, Cape No 7 (The movie that made him a star) is amazing and so sweet!! And I will tell a little bit here because I just want EVERYONE to watch this movie!!

Summary (From Wiki): In the 1940s near the end of the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, an unnamed teacher (Kousuke Atari) dispatched to the southernmost town of Hengchun falls in love with a local girl with the Japanese name Kojima Tomoko (Rachel Liang). After the Surrender of Japan, the teacher is forced to return home as the Chinese occupation of Taiwan resumed. On his trip home, he pens seven love letters to express his regret for leaving Kojima Tomoko, who originally planned to elope with him in Japan.

More than 60 years after the teacher left Kojima Tomoko, Aga (Van Fan) is introduced as a struggling young Hengchun-native rock band singer who could not find success in Taipei. After returning to his hometown, Aga's step father (Ju-Lung Ma), the Town Council Representative, arranged a position for him as a postman, replacing the aging Old Mao -Best character ever!-(Johnny C.J. Lin), on leave after a motorcycle accident broke his leg. One day, Aga comes across an undeliverable piece of mail that was supposed to be returned to the sender; the daughter of the now deceased Japanese teacher has decided to mail the unsent love letters to Taiwan after discovering them. Aga unlawfully keeps and opens the package to discover its contents, but the old Japanese-style address Cape No. 7, Hengchun County, Takao Prefecture can no longer be found.

Meantime a local resort hotel inside Kenting National Park is organizing a beach concert featuring Japanese pop singer Kousuke Atari, but Aga's step father makes use of his official position to insist that the opening band be composed of locals. Tomoko (Chie Tanaka), an over-the-hill Mandarin-speaking Japanese fashion model dispatched to Hengchun, is assigned the difficult task of managing this hastily assembled band, led by Aga along with six other locals of rather particular backgrounds. After a frustrating trial period, Aga and Tomoko unexpectedly begin a relationship. With some assistance from hotel maid Mingchu (Shino Lin), who is revealed to be Kojima Tomoko's granddaughter, Tomoko helps Aga find the rightful recipient of the seven love letters. Tomoko then tells Aga that she plans on returning to Japan after the concert because of a job offering. After returning the seven love letters, a heartbroken but determined Aga returns to the beach resort and performs a highly successful concert with his local band alongside Kousuke Atari, during which Tomoko accepts his love.

Being Nikki

So, to celebtrate Being Nikki coming out TOMORROW!! Here's my review of it!

Wdebo's Review: Woohoo, I was so happy when I got this book. I totally worshipped and adored Airhead. Em is totally real, but now she's getting a little supermodel-y. I guess that's what she gets from being in Nikki's body for too long. The last turn of events in the end totally made me want to read the sequal (or as all the other reviewers call it the "promised sequal".)

Pro: Come on it's Meg Cabot you know exactly what I am going to say for the "pros" her writing is so great it can turn any book hating teen to love YA books. Her writing is sarcastical (so are her characters), it's just adorably/cliche-ly funny and just the sweetest thing you read. (Except for the ending which totally made me angry because now I REALLY need to read the sequal).

Con: The ending makes me need to read the sequal!! [I can't stand not knowing what happens]. Also, the only reason I liked the beginning was because I was excited to find out what was going to happen I didn't think it was as good as Airhead in the beginning but it did get better!

Favorite Character: Chris-need I say more, cute and geeky, my kind of guy lol. He is just so loving of Em (as you find out in the story). He just raised my BF standard more. Yes, I am a Fictional boy lover and I'm damn proud of it!

All in all, if you loved Airhead get ready to go out bright and early tomorrow to buy it, u won't be disappointed!!

Aw this drama makes me all tingly with SWEETNESS!!

So the summary is from DramaWiki

A drama adaptation from a hot selling comic. It is a story that portrays how 5 ardent youths from University of the Arts face love, friendship, and the future.

The 5th year architecture student Zhen Shan (Joe Cheng), who is gentle and soft on the inside holds a torch for Li Hua (Su Hui Lun), a lady boss of an architectural firm. At the same time, he becomes aware that his best friend, Ya Gong (Janine Chang) is also having a single-sided adoration for him…

I started watching this show because of Joe, but then I kept on watching it because it is amazing. (I just haven't been able to watch more because I am very busy.) There is something about it that is Taiwanese Drama-ish but not at the same time. It's really funny, but everytime I start watching it, it feels like a treat (Literally). It was very sweet and funny and all of the actors played their parts amazingly. They really got the hang of the characters and they are just funny and GREAT!!

Wdebo's Review: Oh my god!! I screamed when I saw Envy on my hold shelf!!! I was so excited and it totally held my attention. I loved it but hated the ending. What another cliffhanger??!!! I totally can't wait for Splendor. (When does it come out??!)

Isn't the cover just BEAUTIFUL? I love The Luxe series' cover. This is totally how I pictured Diana and for Rumors how I pictured Penelope, except in The Luxe, doesn't Elizabeth look a bit meanier then she is written about? I just love the dresses they are so pretty!!

The Hollands are... the "main characters" right? Cuz the story goes around their story. But I find them eeh. I don't like them that much Elizabeth sounds very whinny and Diana even though she's strong doesn't follow her heart a lot. Uh yeah.

Favorite Character...Please don't hurt me, but my favorite character is Lina-excuse me- Carolina Broad. I have no idea why she's my favorite character, she's just always been since the first book. I always cheer for her, maybe it's becuase I always want the underdogs to succed.

The writing is...Great!! I love her writting, it's so modern but it is so well written and it totally sucks you in!

All in all, if you are a Luxe lover remember to pick this book up! If you aren't it's never to late to begin reading it!!
